Obituary of Shirley M. Rhian

Shirley M. Graham- Rhian, age 92 of Lafayette Hill Pa. Formerly of Altoona and Gaines,Pa. died Monday (11/17/2014) in the Masonic Village of Lafayette Hill. She was a Home Maker. Mrs. Rhian was born in Williamsport, PA, the daughter of the late Watson and the late Elizabeth (Sherley ) Curts.She is the wife of the late Rev. Charles C. Graham and the late Foster B. Rhian. Mrs. Rhian was born in Williamsport,Pa. and was a 1939 graduate of The Jersey Shore High School in Jersey Shore,Pa. Most recently she resided at the Masonic Village of Lafayette Hill,Pa. While living in Lafayette Hill she became a member of the Messiah United Methodist Church. Prior to Lafayette Hill ,she was a resident of Gaines,Pa. and Altoona,Pa. for a large portion of her life. In Gaines,Pa. she was an active member of the Pine Creek Valley United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Gaines Thimble Club and the Republican Womens Club. Mrs. Rhian was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was known for her cooking ,quilting ,sewing and for the love of family. Mrs. Rhian will be sorely missed by her loving family and her many friends. She is survived by two sons: Charles Douglas Graham (Dee) of Plymouth Meeting, PA., Kenneth E. Graham (Carol) of Altoona, PA 4 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grand., Friends may call Friday 11/21/2014 from 6-8pm at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. and Saturday 11/22/14 from 10-11am at Messiah United Methodist Church, 527 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Burial will be Monday 11/24/14 at 1:00 pm in the Jersey Shore Cemetery, Jersey Shore.Pa. Contributions may be made to Messiah United Methodist Church,527 Ridge Pike,Lafayette Hill,Pa. or The Pine Creek Valley United Methodist Church,Gaines,Pa.
