Edward Wallace Jr., age 81 of Lafayette Hill , formerly of Washingtons Crossing, Pa. died Friday (8/14) at his residence at the Hill at Whitemarsh. Ed leaves behind his wife Patricia (Fitzgerald), daughter Stephanie W. Bell (Brian) and three sons,The late Edward III,James (Sandra),Timothy and five grandsons, Blake,Chad,Evan, Taylor and Keith. Ed was a true problem solver. He always had a "plan". He graduated from the University of Pa.Wharton School of Business in 1954.He also was the Captain of Penn's Golf Team and was the Eastern Intercollegiate Golf Champion. Ed was a life time member of Tavistock Country Club in Haddonfield,nj and also the club's 7 time club champion. He worked in the Steel and Metal industry business culminating as the regional representative for American Stair Company in Romeoville ,IL. Ed shared his strong work ethic and dry sense of humor with his family and friends. His generosity to Smile Train a, Wounded Warriors and Libertae plus amny other charities was admirable. Friends may call Tuesday from 10-11am at Saint Martin In The Fields Church, 8000 St.Martins Lane, Phila., PA. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am Memorial contributions may be made to Libertae, Inc. 5245 Bensalem Blvd. Bensalem,Pa.19020 Funeral arrangements are by the Lownes Family Funeral Home of Lafayette Hill.
