Eileen T. (McDonough) Retter, age 96 of Normandy Farms Estates,Blue Bell , formerly of Lafayette Hill, died Thursday (11/21/13) She was a Home Maker Mrs. Retter was born in Phila., PA, the daughter of the late Thomas and the late Nellie Hunichen McDonough.She was the wife of the late Charles W. Retter Jr. who died in 1990. Mrs. Retter was a 1935 graduate of the West Catholic Girls High School. During WW 2 She had worked as a civilian employee of the Marine Corps in Phila. Mrs. Retter was a long time member of Saint Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill and was a former volunteer for the Meals on Wheels Program. While sons were growing up she also served as a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and Boy Scout Assn. Mrs. Retter enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends in Lafayette Hill and also at Normandy Farms and she also was an avid reader. She is survived by four sons: Charles T. Retter of Exton, PA, Alan G. Retter (Kristen) of Hollis, NH, Robert W. Retter (Pat) of Buena Park, CA, Bruce J. Retter (Martha) of Chapel Hill, NC 3 Grandchildren-Jennifer, David And Charlie, Friends may call Wednesday 11/27 from 12-1pm at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.. Funeral mass will be held at 1:00 pm Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery Contributions may be made to American Macular Degeneration Foundation,P.O. Box 515, Northampton,MA 01061.
