I am a volunteer visitor at the health care facility where Josie resided. Josie was one of my favorite people to visit. She mostly slept but I always hoped she would be awake so that we could talk, or more likely, I could listen to her. I was glad to listen to anything she wanted to talk about. I was amazed at her life, her career as a female dentist, how kindly she spoke of co-workers and patients. She recalled events in her life and her world travels. Occasionally I would see Josie having lunch with Paula in the cafe. Josie was alert and vibrant, talking and eating. It was such a joy to see Josie at those times. I was grateful for the time I spent with Josie. From what I could tell, she was an amazing woman. I was touch and honored to have had time with her. I will miss stopping by to check in on Josie.

I will truly miss my dear friend Jo. She was always a joy to be around. She was first my dentist and then became a cherished friend. We went on trips together and always had a good time. She was a joy to be around. My sincere condolences to her family. Pat Paillard
