Timothy J. Durkin Sr., 75, of Philadelphia/Cape May, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024

He was born on October 3, 1948 in Philadelphia.

Tim attended Roman Catholic High School and joined the Army Reserves after graduation.

He married his childhood sweetheart, Diane, on December 9, 1972. They had three children: Timothy Jr.(Heather), John (Tina), and Michael.

Tim was a proud remember of the Philadelphia Fire Department, where he worked for 33 years, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting trips at his cabin in Bradford County and gardening at his homes in Philadelphia and Cape May. He was also a wine enthusiast with a sommelier level palette.

Tim is survived by his three sons; his grandchildren: Abby, Jack, Julie, Anthony, and Hannah; his brother: Patrick (Madeline); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Marie, his wife Diane, and his siblings Judy (Hugh) and James (Joanne).

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday, September 20, 2024, 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM at St. Phillip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444. Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00AM.

Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19150.
