My Chief. John Devlin, loved his long time friend Tim. They knew each other since first grade and of course throughout their PFD careers. John always bragged about that! :) Tim was always so welcoming to me and a joy to be with. He and my John are back together now, likely joking about all kinds of things…. Dear friends and family of Tim Durkin, Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of this great man. I worked with Tim at the Fire administration building when he was Chief Devlin’s driver. We became good friends and it is easy to see what kind and smart and hard-working man he was. He was so dedicated to Chief Devlin. They are both in heaven now sharing their fire stories and watching over us. May he rest in peace. I am sorry I won’t be unable to attend the funeral on Friday. I am going to have a Mass said for Tim . He has remained in my thoughts and prayers through the years. Dedication and service was always his life. I am grateful to have known such a fine man Eileen Donnelly

I thank God for my brother-in-law, Tim. Living in Phila. or Cape May, the door was always open to visit, talk have a glass of wine or just view a game or the news. Hospitality was the word for the Durkin home. Thank you, Tim, and may God welcome you into heaven as you welcomed so many!
