When I think of Helene I think of good times, no actually they were great times. As everyone knows, she threw epic parties – from the endless game nights on Pensdale Street to the pool parties, beautiful Christmas dinners, graduation parties and many more in Oley. Her house was so inviting and open to all, full of love and laughter. Frequently Helene would whip up a batch of a featured drink for the party that were not for the faint of heart. But she served them with love and an invitation to stay the night. Although Helene didn’t ski, she did enjoy ski trips with us, often packing her blender. That may have been the night of the Oley Shuffle. But Helene was cool way before all her cool & fun parties. I know because I was a student in her “cool school” – yes, true story. And after cool school came our summers down the shore at the Holiday House. And when she would get ready to hit the Wildwood clubs with her friends, we would sit and watch her get ready and she would give us lessons like, women’s shoes are more than just shoes. If you know, you know. But now she has joined her angels that she so adored. Although Helene has left this world, her memory will live on in my heart forever. Love ya Sista.

In talking about Helene with family in the past days, many of us could feel her close by. I found myself quoting from STAR WARS: "The force is strong with that one." Helene was and still is a very strong soul. She made her decisions and followed through. I think of her as caring, fun-loving and loyal. Helene, you are missed and very much loved.

Aunt Helene was a wonderful person and such a joy to be around. We had so many good memories but what I’ll remember most is when I got to spend a week at their home in Oley during a couple summers and some trips to the shore. We always had good times. I’ll never forget her taking care of me and her love for her family. We love you so much and will miss you dearly. Love, Ken, Monica, Lucas and Mateo.

Dear Helene, what can I say? Helene was the spark to every conversation and the energy to intensify the flames into the early hours of the morning. Helene was never one to back off her opinion and relished the task of cutting you to the quick, but she softened to opposing viewpoints. I found that a great quality. I will miss our debates and teasing back and forth. I will also miss being out cussed, while watching the Eagles games together. God bless Carl, Eric, Chris, Tarah and the entire Miksitz family.

I was fortunate enough to have worked with Helene for about 7 years. She and I attended several conferences during that tenure, and she was always gracious and we had many thought-provoking discussions. So sorry for your loss.

Helene was sweet with a side of sas and always up for shenanigans of any type. When it came to her siblings she would faithfully defend first and ask questions later. You could feel how fiercely she loved her family. This was also the case with her friends. If you were lucky enough to be in Helene’s orbit you know she watched out for you. She will forever be our guardian angel.

With my deepest condolences, it is impossible to find the right words to describe how important and beautiful of a person Helene was. I know she has had a huge impact on who I am as a person today. Helene was the person you could always come to for advice and know you are getting the real and unfiltered truth but yet filled with care, love, and wisdom. Helene and your family has always been next to my family and myself. From Girl Scouts to girls weekend, every step Helene and you all have always been there. You are my family, and Helene will always be deeply loved and missed.

It takes a lot of years to grow a lifelong friend and you were my forever friend. Our friendship was magical. You were my family and always willing to hold my hand when I needed it the most. The true beauty of life is measured by not how happy you are, but how happy others are because of you. Every person you touched is happier because you were in their lives. Your stories, our shenanigans, every time I was with you it made my heart sing. I will always treasure our times together, our ride through life and the joy you brought to me. Carl, Chris, Eric, Tarah and the entire family. Words cannot express the sorrow we feel for the loss of Helene.
For over 30 years, we were more than neighbors and more than just friends. We were together for concerts, vacations, backyard barbecues, our inside jokes and gag gifts, celebrating our daughters' weddings, and being there for each other during difficult times.

Helene, you were a true friend for over 30 years. I enjoyed so many fun times together over the years, our vacations, family celebrations, parties and just going out for dinner or sharing stories while I did your hair for 34 years.
