To Sonny and my O'Neill cousins and their families,
I am sorry to have missed visiting with Aunt Marian over the last few years because of her illness and the COVID issues. While she was certainly the oldest and one of the dearest of my Facebook friends, it wasn't the same. Now that she has passed, I regret not being able to see you all this weekend at her visitation and funeral mass as Carol and I will be away for the next few days and unable to attend. Trust that we will be thinking of her and all of you in prayers and memories.
I don't think that I fully appreciated Aunt Marian until my adult age. This despite each and every year receiving her birthday card to me, the first one every year and in advance. I counted on it as heralding the coming of my birthday. Fortunately, I got to appreciate her wisdom, strength and kindness later in my life when she would often call and consult with me on whatever the matter, whether real estate, law or life in general I was always grateful for her trust and confidence. She would call me "her favorite nephew" but I think she said that to us all because she was "family first" She would always speak her mind to me (and everyone else) and I loved it when she would brag to me about her golf game or the prize-winning ticket that she always seemed to have had.
Aunt Marian was special and we will all miss her but have such fond memories to treasure.
With our sympathies and sincerest regards to all.

How I will miss you Aunt Marian! You were the sweetest, kindest, most loving woman I have ever met! Although I didn't meet you until later in life, you always treated me like I was your favorite niece, and like you had known me my entire life! You never missed a birthday or anniversary! You were so very thoughtful!
How happy I was to finally meet all my cousins at your 90th birthday, because I already felt like I knew them....you spoke of them all so often with such love in your heart!
I will miss our get togethers in NJ where you made the absolute BEST potato salad!
Rest in peace sweet Aunt, find your Bobby and My Joey and give them both a big hug from me! I love you, and miss you always!
