Dear Frank and Michael and Families,
Rita was was surrounded by magic, a magic that she created and invited us all in to. Her home, with her garden and flowers and wonderful food, was a haven for any who were lucky enough to be welcomed by Frank and Rita. I continue to believe that she must have special powers to be able to create such a beautiful home. But it just fit with who she was, she was always able to do everything amazingly, from home-making to cooking to entertaining to arguing to generally making all of us Carrs feel special. Rita will always be my idol. She meant more to my mom than I will ever know. When I was growing up my mom spoke of Rita as if she were a beacon. It was almost like just saying her name in our house made everything right. The magic that she gave us, will always be an important part of who I am. I will always think of Rita, when I am faced with any crisis, because she had the intelligence and positive attitude to tackle any problem. There will never be anyone like Rita. I hope that the Precopios stay part of my life.
Sending you strength and love,
Sarah

I met Rita when I joined The Outdoor Gardeners garden club in 2013. She welcomed me with open arms not only into the club but also into her home. What a joy it was spending the afternoon watching birds and enjoying lunch in her sunroom after a morning of digging and potting in preparation for Chestnut Hill Day. Rita is the reason I have such a love for hostas and orchids. Her garden was absolutely breathtaking! She encouraged me to take the time to research the plants I loved and to share them freely with enthusiasts as well as novices. She provided many of my favorite specimens from her own garden that I cherish to this day. Rita was one of the kindest, most generous and knowledgeable people I've had the opportunity to know. She was truly a jewel and will be fondly remembered as my very special friend and mentor.

A day doesn't go by that I don't think of Rita and all she has done for me as my mentor in The Outdoor Gardeners. Her gentle demeanor, wisdom and selflessness have been an example for us all. I have missed her dearly as a close friend and member of the club. I will never forget spending time in her garden, her apt advice, her sense of humor and her kindness to all who came her way.

She will we truly missed. God Bless and may she Rest In Peace.
