Beth, I am so sorry for your sudden and tragic loss in losing your husband Michael last Saturday! I am so sad for you, especially when it was right around this time that I lost my mother three years ago. So, I just want to express my deep and heartfelt condolences to you, your daughter Lindsey and son Kyle. God Bless!
Love,
Chris Farley

Beth, I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Michael as I did you and your father. They say that women marry men like their father. In that case I'm sure Michael was a gentle, loving husband and father, I'm sorry I never got to know him.

Mike and I talked about many things when we went fishing. He frequently spoke about Beth, Lindsey and Kyle-how proud he was of all their achievements and how thankful he was for all they did for him. Mike’s energy levels went up when we talked about fishing. As we prepared to go out, the anticipation prevented him from sleeping much the night prior to a trip. Although there were times when we didn’t catch anything, Mike always had several positives on the adventure we just had. Frequently, he ran into someone who he knew or struck up a conversation with a complete stranger. I would kid him about this and his response was this was due to his good looks and magnetic personality.
The happiest I ever saw Mike was when Beth went night fishing with him in Fortescue, NJ. The couple days leading up to this trip, Mike called me several times a day to share his excitement his wife was joining him. After the trip, he happily gave me all the details and talked about the trip frequently. While he didn’t land any fish that night, the most important landing in his life was with him on the beach!
I’m sure Mike is scoping out new fishing spots. Keep the lines wet and taunt my friend. I’ve learned a lot from you.

Beth, words can not express how sad I am that you and your family have lost Mike. He was a good man, and I know he loved you all to the end of time. I still think of all the ski trips we went on, and how much fun we had. I wish I could be there to help you through this, but know I am there in my heart.

Whenever I would come to the house, Mr. Hatfield would always tell me about his latest fishing trip and we’d talk about what scary movies we’ve seen recently. He’d love to ask me how I liked nursing school or being a nurse, knowing that I was a doctor. Always joking around! The photo of him here was taken on my wedding day where his daughter, Lindsey, was my maid of honor. Sending our thoughts and prayers to Mrs. Hatfield, Lindsey, and Kyle.
Love,

Our family always described Michael as “such a nice guy.” One of our favorite memories of Michael is a scout outing snow tubing at Blue Mountain. Our families shared a tube that went airborne! He laughed hard and enjoyed that so much! May he laugh hard and enjoy peace in eternity. Our deepest condolences to Beth, Lindsey and Kyle. Love the Gale Family.
