Adele meant so much to me when I first started teaching. She was an unofficial mentor for me especially the two years I spent beside her in the reading lab Her warmth was always apparent when we saw each other at meetings after I left for the high school. We kept in touch by at least Christmas cards. And she would comment on enjoying watch our sons grow a little each year. (Now in there late 40s). I will always remember her as one of the kindest and caring people I have ever met.
