So sad hearing of Danny’s passing. I met him at MES. We shared a passion (along w Chris Harry) for all sports. Basketball at Curtis Park, football wherever we could play and especially Wiffleball. We all our own home fields. The ones w fences you could hit over were best. Stoop ball w those pinky balls in Acme parking lot. What seems like dozens of balsa wood or styrofoam planes were launched onto the roof of Acme never to be seen again. Wasting time at 7/11 w Big Gulps or giving Bennys directions back to the Parkway instead of the beach. Tearing around town on BMX bikes. Hanging at any of our houses. John and Doris putting up w us other “kids”. Thank you guys for all the love and being totally real. Getting into some light mischief when our parents were out. Dan and I played together on many soccer fields and I’ll maybe miss that the most. I could go on and about great times spent w Dan.. Listening to music while we cruised around in his car, boogie boarding, skating.. He was the first person that visited me in Seattle. He was also a great friend to my mom Sally and she sends her condolences as well.. sorry this is so all over the place.
Dan was a great friend to all the people that got close to him.
He had the biggest heart and time for you always. I wish we had stayed closer. John, Doris and John I can not tell you how sad this makes me.. Danny was one of a kind. Sending you all my love. -Jeff Skokna
