One of the days after moving in to our home on Wick Lane, my husband Greg attempted to mow our lawn with a push lawnmower. Mind you we came from a Roxborough twin with maybe a 5x5 patch of grass to a 3/4 acre corner yard that hadnt been cut in I dont know how long. Mr Carl (as my kids called him), looked outside and saw his new neighbor struggling and immediately came out to offer his tractor. Greg often thinks back to that day 23 years ago and all the days after; letting our children ride their bikes on the driveway, bringing treats to the dogs at the fence, and allowing our son to practice ball against the wall of the house. We couldnt have asked for better neighbors and Mr Carl will be sorely missing. Rest in peace.
