Aurella and Angie, I am beyond saddened by the passing of your mom. Your family has always been a second family to us and whenever I saw your mom the first thing she always asked about was Evan. She always told how much she just "loved that boy" with a big smile on her face. My prayers to all of you during this incredibly difficult time.

I have always been drawn to my Aunt Jo. I love that she was sassy and funny. But especially a tough as nails, speak her mind kind of person. I don’t remember how many times I told my family that I was running away to Aunt Jo’s house when I was a little girl. At times I think it may have been a weekly thing, but to me she was my haven. When I got older and let’s face it braver, I began to tease her, just to see that face she would make when she was trying to put me in my place. It was all in the eyes I think. I was never deterred and in the end I was always rewarded with a smile, which was my ultimate goal. That smile that would light up her face, it was like the sun came out. A smile that reminded me so much of my dad’s. And now the thought of never being able to tease her into giving me a smile fills me with such sorrow. I will love and miss you, Aunt Jo for all of my days.

I feel so honored and am so grateful that I got to meet the mother of my wonderful half-sisters, Rell and Angela a couple of years ago. Your courage and strength were inspirational. You and your wonderful and loving family were so welcoming. With fondness, I'll remember how you ate an entire bag of Cherry Mash candy from Missouri in one afternoon! You had quite a sweet-tooth! Much love and prayers for my sisters, nieces, nephews and family in this time of grief. -Wayman & Patty Gibson Spangler

Aunt Jo would always say to me...When are you coming to see me?
Well I came to see you just the other day
I can not say you knew, as you were beginning to find your way
Beginning to finding your way, to the heavenly stars above
The Lord was calling upon you, to come to the Garden of Love.
You have given us your wisdom, your knowledge and your love,
Now its time for you to rest because you have been so blessed
Blessed with the Love of God each and everyday, he will truly show you the way
The way to Heaven and the pearly gates, this is the ultimate eternal resting place.
It was your time to leave us, I am so sad to see you go
I am glad I came to see you, even thou you didn’t know
