Obituary of Betty Jane Roberts

Betty Jane (Campbell) Roberts, age 85 of Phila. PA, died Friday (6/3) in the Roxborough Memorial Hospital. She was a Home Maker and former Bank Employee and Dental Assistant. Mrs. Roberts was born in Phila., PA, the daughter of the late Crawford and the late Elsie Rabiger Campbell. Wife of the late William E. Roberts. Mrs. Roberts was a 1943 Graduate of Roxborough H.S. and was a member of the Delph Debs Sorority. She was a member of St.Timothy's Epicopal Church in Rox. and was a former Sunday School teacher. For many years volunteered for the North Light Community Center and the Friend In Supplying Help Program. She also was a member of the Worm Dippers Social Group along with the Bank Gang thru the First Pa. Bank in Rox. and Center City where she had worked years ago. For many years Betty Jane summered at the Rancocas Creek along with Promise Land in the Poconos. She loved spending time at the Wissahickon Creek and enjoyed traveling. She is survived by three sons: William Roberts (Karen) of Roxborough,Phila., PA, Chris Roberts (Patricia) of Chester Springs, PA, Todd Roberts (Susan) of Marlton, NJ 6 grandchildren . Memorial Services will be held Sat. 6/11/11at 11:00 am in the Saint Timothy's Episcopal Church, 5720 Ridge Ave. Phila.19128 Burial will be held privately in the Saint Timothy's Church Cemetery. Contributions may be made to above church or the North Light Community Center 175 Green Lane,Phila.Pa. 19127. Funeral arrangements are by The Lownes Funeral Home of Lafayette Hill.
