Jay B. Hartsell, age 49 of Coatesville PA,formerly of Lafayette Hill and Plymouth Meeting,Pa. died Saturday (5/28) in the Coatesville Va. Center Hospice Unit. He was a Master Plumber Mr. Hartsell was born in Norristown, PA, the son of Joseph C. Hartsell Sr.and the late Elaine Springer Hartsell. Jay grew up in Lafayette Hill,Pa. before moving to Avon Connecticut and then eventually returning back to the Plymouth Meeting area. . He was a graduate of Avon H.S. Jay served our country in the U.S. Navy and was a Purple Heart Recipient. He was an avid reader and a New England Patriots fan and loved spending time with his family and many friends especially his German Sheppard Joey. He is survived by Kathleen (Brown ) Hartsell along with his father (above) one brother: James A. Hartsell of Glen Allen, VA Step Son, Kevin Messner of Hummelstown, PA; Step Son, Tim Wertz of Coatesville, PA *predeceased by his mother(name above) and his brother - Joseph C. Hartsell Jr. Friends may call Friday 6/3 from 9:30-11AM at Saint Peters Catholic Church, 2835 Manor Rd., W.Brandywine, PA.19320 Funeral mass will be held 6/3 at 11:00 am Burial will be Saturday 6/4 at 11:30 am in the George Washington Memorial Park,Plymouth Mtg.Pa. Contributions may be made to The Va. Center of Coatesville Hospice,1400 Balck Horse Hill Rd. Coatesville,Pa. 19320. Funeral arrangements are by the Lownes Funeral Home of Lafayette Hill,Pa.
