Obituary of Florence K. Greaves

Florence "Florrie"( Kahoe) Greaves, age 96 of Lafayette Hill PA, died Friday (4/8) in the Chestnut Hill Hospital. She was a Home Maker Mrs. Greaves was born in Phila., PA, the daughter of the late Richard G. and the late Josephine Palmer Kahoe .Wife of the late Russell B. Greaves who died in 1974. Mrs. Greaves was a long time resident of Lafayette Hill and for a brief time had resided in Erdenheim. While living in Erdenheim she was a very active member of the former St. Mark Methodist Church. She was a member of their choir,treasurer for their womens club,sunday school teacher,member of their adminstrative council along with being a director for their sunday nursery school program. In later years when moving back to Lafayette Hill she became an active member of Saint Peters Lutheran Church where she would volunteer in the churches many activities and was also active in the churches Community Elders Program. Mrs. Greaves volunteered for many years also for the Montgomery Hospital and the Morris Arboretum. She enjoyed crossword puzzles,reading,sewing and needle point and watching her favorite TV program, Jeopardy. To her family she was known as a loving aunt, great cook and family historian. She is survived by Many Nieces And Nephews, Grand And Great And Great-Great, Predeceased by: one sister: The Late Kathryn Little two brothers: The Late Frank C. Kahoe Sr., The Late Richard G. Kahoe Jr. Friends may call Saturday 4/16/11 from 1-2pm at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, 3025 Church Rd., Lafayette Hill, PA.. Life Celebration Services will be held at 2:00 pm Burial will be held privately in the Ivy Hill Cemetery, Phila.Pa. In lieu of flowers ,donations may be made to the American Heart Assn. or the above Church. Funeral arrangements are by the Lownes Funeral Home of Lafayette Hill.
