Obituary of Michael D. Holleman

Michael D. Holleman, age 47 of Phila. PA, died Thursday (3/31/11) in the Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse,Phila. He was an Architect employed by Vitetta -an architectual firm of Phila. and most recently was their director of Historic Preservation. Mr. Holleman was born in Brookline Mass., the son of P.David and Barbara DeRocher Holleman of Lexington Mass.. Michael was a graduate of Temple Univ. where he recieved his Architectual degree he also attended the Univ. College of London for Architecture and recieved his Masters degree from the Univ. of Pa. and graduated with honors. Michael was licensed in Pa.,New Jersey,Maryland,District of Columbia, Rhode Island,,Ohio and Texas, where he worked on many prestigious buildings. His work garnered acclaim throughout the Architectural community and has received numerous awards for his projects. Michael traveled extensively which he enjoyed along with gardening ,reading and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed visiting museums and following the Boston Red Sox. However, his primary dedication was his devotion to his beautiful wife and wonderful sons. He is survived by along with his parents, his wife Dr. Dawn Zapotok two sons: Patrick Holleman (Emily) of Pottstown, PA, Matthew Holleman of Phila., PA one sister: Beth Craft (Adam) of Mansfiled, Mass. Friends may call Monday 4/4 from 6-8pm at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.. Funeral Services will be held privately-Tuesday for the family. Burial will be Tuesday in the Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Horsham,Pa. In lieu of flowers- Contributions may be made to Morris Arboretum100e.
