Please share a memory of Alicia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Alicia Therese Longshore Flannery, 42, of Hatfield, Pa., passed away on May 28.

Alicia was born in Philadelphia to George and Joanne Longshore on Aug. 9, 1975. She grew up in Elkins Park and went to high school at St. Basil Academy, graduating in 1993. Alicia went on to earn a bachelor’s of business administration from Ursinus College in 1997. She continued her education at St. Joseph’s University, where she earned a master’s of business administration, with a concentration in human resources management, in 2003. She held a number of positions in the human resources field, including as a recruiter, research associate, staffing consultant, senior consultant and most recently as a recruiting generalist at Almac Group.

While Alicia had a very successful career, her main passion was her family, especially her two sons, James and George. She was involved in her sons’ athletic teams and extra-curricular activities and enjoyed spending family time outdoors, especially at her backyard pool and in Ocean City, N.J., where she vacationed with her family since she was a child. Alicia loved showing her boys the historic sites and museums in Philadelphia and carrying out holiday traditions with her family, including watching “Christmas Vacation” on repeat. A basketball player in her youth, Alicia continued to be a sports enthusiast throughout her life, and was particularly passionate about the Philadelphia Eagles. Following her father’s tradition, she planted and cared for a tomato garden and also loved trying new wines. In all areas of her life, Alicia brought dedication, passion and a brilliant sense of humor.

Alicia is survived by her husband, James Flannery; sons, James and George; mother, Joanne Longshore; sister, Janelle Kilinski (Joseph); niece, Alexandra; sisters-in-law Meggin Santiago (Ben) and Ellen Butcher (Allen); aunt, Theresa Longshore; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.
