Mary (Heinsling) Nead, age 89 of Plymouth Meeting PA., died Saturday (3/6) at her residence in Plymouth Meeting, PA.. Mrs. Nead was born in Altoona, PA, the daughter of the late Charles and the late M.Eva Dougherty Heinsling. Mrs. Nead married Benjamin G. Nead on October 13,1956 in Phila. Pa. Mrs. Nead was a graduate of Altoona H.S. and Grove City College. She was a veteran of WW 2 serving as a Yeoman 3rd class in the Navy in Washington D.C. After her honorable discharge she elected to train as a medical technician and had worked at a private laboratory in Phila. until joining Wyeth Labs in Phila. and Radnor,Pa. Mary was a skilled Bridge Player and avid bird watcher and in past years she enjoyed along with her husband, Round and Square Dancing. Mary volunteered for the American Red Cross receiving training for the rent rebate program and had processed claims for eligible residents. For many years Mary enjoyed spending summers at their family cottage by the bay in Ocean City, NJ. She is survived by her husband of 53 years-Benjamin G. Nead two sons: Randolph G. Nead of Furlong, PA, Charles B. Nead of Plymouth Meeting, PA. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am , with the Pastor-Rev. R. Bruce Todd officiating. Burial will be private in the Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Horsham.
