Elvira "Elvie" N. Marcial of the Andorra Neighborhood in Philadelphia, PA passed after a heroic battle with cancer on March 20, 2018. Elvie was a beloved mother of Jason Marcial (Jessica) and Jessica Kachmar (Michael). She was also a loving grandmother (Lola) to Madeline, Jacob and Luke. She is survived by her 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Elvie was born in the Philippines to Felixberto and Juanita Necesario. She was the first in her family to immigrate to the United States in 1974. Her career and passion was in nursing and the patients that she cared for as a devoted employee at Temple University Hospital for 30+ years.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 28 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 819 E. Cathedral Rd., Phila., PA 19128. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Horsham, PA.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 27 from 6-8 pm at Lownes Family Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. and Wednesday, March 28 from 10-11 am at Immaculate Heart Of Mary Church.
