Flossie was a former active member of Saint Peter's Lutheran Church serving as the church secretary for over 30 years. She was one of the oldest living members of her church and was active in the choir. Floss also devoted much of her time volunteering for many bazaars and their Annual Boar's Head Festival. She also was a member of the Community Elders, The Whitemarsh Lioness Club, The Whitemarsh Curtain Callers, The Goldenaires Community Music Group, The former Strawbridge and Clothier Choir and was a charter member of the Turtle Club.
