Obituary of Dorothy G. Chaban

Dorothy G.(Hooper) Chaban, age 97, formerly of Lafayette Hill and Chalfont died Friday, July 28, 2017 at Manor Care of Montgomeryville, PA.. Dorothy was born May 17, 1920 in England, . She is the daughter of the late Leslie and the late Beatrice (Perry) Hooper. She was the wife of the late John Chaban who passed in 1991. She was employed by Whitemarsh Township as a Clerk in the Tax Collection Dept. and also was a former Police Dispatcher for New Britain Police Dept. Mrs. Chaban was a former active member of Saint Peter's Lutheran Church in Lafayette Hill and was a former President of the former Ladies Auxiliary for the Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Co. She will be sorely missed by her devoted family. She is survived by one daughter: Ann Filippi (George) of Wyndmoor, PA. and one son: Michael J. Chaban (Debbie) of Barto, PA. She is also survived by her 6 Grandcildren ,11 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandaughter. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 1 at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, 3025 Church Rd., Lafayette Hill, PA. 19444 Burial will be in the church Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 1 from 9-11am at the Church In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Peter's Church.. Mrs.Chaban was a former active member of Saint Peter's Lutheran Church in Lafayette Hill and was a former President of the former Ladies Auxilliary for the Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Co. She will be sorely missed by her devoted family.
