Your Mom was a very spunky lady who, obviously, adored her children and grandchildren. She appreciated and nurtured talented people to reach for the stars. Peace, Meagan Hill

Dear Colleen,
Our wishes and prayers go out to you at this horrible, sad time. I hope that the wonderful love and memories of the joy that you both created together can some how buoy you through to a day when the sun will shine and her voice and laughter will be in your ears and her warm hug around your shoulders in memory. I know that this will be a long time coming. Our love goes out to you.
Fondly,
Rhonda and Matt

Dear Colleen, I well remember Mollie's "state visit" to Fribourg in 1976 --preceded as it was by months of you describing her "larger than life" qualities. She certainly lived up to the billing! She had a wonderful life and you were always proud of her and loved her. My thoughts and prayers are with you --Love, Frank Fortunato

And so we say good bye to our dear Mollie. A woman of great strength and dignity...and talent. She was a firecracker who set the world on fire with her wit, wisdom and beauty. But most of all she was a great friend and an award-winning Mom. She was there for her children and grandchildren through thick and thin and she loved them more than words could express. She set an example for all of us. Unconditional love is what she gave to anyone who deserved it. She will be missed and we will all think of her for the rest of our lives. RIP Ms. Durkin. You were a great inspiration to all of us lucky enough to know you! Your friend, Carol

Colleen, Michael, Meg, & Ted,
Please accept my sincerest condolences on the loss of your mother. She was such a beautiful woman of whom I have many fond memories. Even to a young child her eclectic spirit was obvious and admired. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time.

Mollie had me at "Hello!"
I loved her dearly and feel I was dearly loved by her.
Not too long ago, I spent a day with her at the home so lovingly shared with Colleen and Bob and we had the best time. Her world view never failed to stimulate and delight me. She will always be a force of nature, loving, fierce, tender, funny, gorgeous...
I take comfort in the knowledge that she will always have my back.
Requiescat in Pacem.
So much love and the highest regard,
Sidney

What a great tribute to a great woman! My Aunt Molly was a great role model, and always encouraging and supportive. She was never judgement or mean spirited. Her energy, kindness, strength, and support was admirable. Love to the entire family-Libby McNulty
