I grew up with Dave. From 1st grade to 12th grade, from kickball on the playgrounds to the HS basketball courts, from Sunday School to Cub Scouts. He was a good friend and always an honest level headed guy that I respected. I'm truly saddened to just now hear he has passed on. I'll remember all the good times.

I light this candle as a tribute to a man who was truly my best friend in H.S. Captain of my Bears football and basketball team. A true leader who helped guide our championship team to the playoffs. I was saddened to hear of his passing only now in 2018. My deepest condolences to his family. I will forever speak of the times we spent together at my family's cabin, his family's home and at college together in Philly. A loss to all those who knew him and cherished his friendship. God Bless.

Dear family,
While working at Bentley David was the first one to immediately volunteer to take me out for lunch. While I did not interact with him on a daily basis I have come to know him as a very smart and kind person. I have had the privilege of working closely with David notably on an acquisition in France and have certainly learned from him. I am immensely sad for your loss. Apologies for not writing earlier. I simply did not know of his passing until 2 days ago.

Jay and I want to convey our sorrow over your the passing of David.. Robert and Annette Nation were wonderful friends who actually encouraged Jay and I to open my boutique real estate company, Candy Swick & Company. We credit our success in business to the generosity of Bob and Annette's guidance of David in his business life. The wonderful advise that they shared with David they also shared with us. Although we never were able to meet Bob and Annette's family members we were blessed enough to hear the heartwarming stories. We are so sorry for your loss and hold you in our prayers. We pray for memories that will continually fill your hearts with gratitude and laughter and joy to help you overcome your loss.

My condolences to David's family and friends. I remember when David arrived at Bentley. He had a great smile, a friendly hello in the morning, and was always available to answer a question. I also remember David stopping by my office, which was next to his office, saying how he appreciated that I came in early, but would I mind closing my office door while I was on a conference call and he would do the same as he stepped away with a nod and a grin on his face. Thank you David for your kind and helpful advice....

Dear Suzan, Emily, Chris and Rob - we are so terribly sorry for the loss of your dearest husband and father. He fought such a long hard battle with you always by his side Suzan.
How much he loved you all.
David - you were such a positive, warm and friendly person. We will forever remember the very many times you popped your head around the hedge as you arrived home to give us your big smile and trade the news of the day or give us a piece of your wisdom when it was needed. Thank you for your friendship. I wish you had had more time.
Our love to all of you.
Clare, Steve and Amanda.

My sincere condolences to Dave's family. I had the privilege of having this fine young man in class and followed him as a student-athlete throughout his junior and senior high school years. Dave was a well-respected leader and served as a role model for his teammates and fellow classmates. I treasure many good memories of Dave.

Susan - I am so shocked and sorry to hear of David's passing. I enjoyed his enthusiasm and the commitment he brought to all of his activities, especially at Drinker. I shall be in Europe; otherwise, I would be at the service for him. I know this is a terrible blow. My condolences to you and your family.

Suzan and family - My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of loss. David was a tremendous person, always helping and encouraging to all and will be missed by all who he touched. I pass on old Egyptian story that has helped me - the story goes-
When God created the world
He made everything small
So that it could grow up with time:
The grain into wheat
The baby into an adult
The bud into the flower
Only sorrow was created fully grown,
so that it might decrease with time,
and humans may be able to live with it.
Again our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dave was just amazing, and after he was diagnosed he was an amazing example to me of rising to the occasion. At the Shore, at home, at Emily's wedding--I never felt he was being dragged under by his illness, or that in any way life was supposed to stop for him.
Dave was so naturally gifted; I'll probably never meet a harder working guy. I always thought how, in spite of that work ethic and his skills, he never made me feel less. He was generous and gregarious. My parents were so happy to have had him in the family, as was I. He'll be dearly, dearly missed.
