Obituary of Catherine L. Gansz

Catherine L. (O'Brien) Gansz, age 101, of Lafayette Hill, PA died Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Artman Lutheran Home in Ambler, PA.. Mrs. Gansz was born October 22, 1914 in Phila., PA. She is the daughter of the late James and the late Mary (White) O'Brien. She was the wife of the late Edgar J.Gansz Sr.. Mrs.Gansz was a faithful member of Saint Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill and was also a member of their Bowling League. She was also an avid Bridge Player and Golfer often playing at Flourtown Country Club and was also a member of the Flourtown Swim Club. Mrs. Gansz volunteered for many years at St.Joseph's Villa in Flourtown . For many years the Gansz family enjoyed vacations in Ocean City NJ. together. She will will be sorely missed by her devoted family and many friends. She is survived by one daughter: Mary Ann Delaplane (Jim) of Phila., PA and two sons: Edgar J. Gansz Jr. (Maureen) of Plainfield, IL and J.Daniel Gansz (Elaine) of Lansdale, PA. She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren and16 Great Grand,. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Friday, June 3 at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lower Merion . Calling hours will be Friday, June 3 from 10-11am at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.. Memorial donations may be made to the Saint Josephs Villa, 110 W.
