Obituary of Rosemarie A. Boorse

Rosemarie A. Boorse, age 84, of Wynnewood, PA formerly of FT. Washington Pa. died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at home in Wynnewood. Rosemarie was born August 11, 1931 in Phila.. She is the daughter of the late Herbert C. and the late Marie (Reefer) Boorse. Rosemarie was born in Philadelphia where she attended school and graduated from Germantown High School. During that time she developed an interest in fashion. She attended Temple University and followed her passion and became a fashion model. Ro was a member of the Philadelphia Model's Guild. After several successful years modeling in Philadelphia, New York, and Atlantic City, she moved onto fashion show coordinating and commentating. In her leisure time, she loved traveling . She was a member of the Cynwood Club where she enjoyed and excelled in tennis. She was always up for a good mixed doubles match! Later in life, Ro enjoyed working in the family's thoroughbred horse business. She will always be remembered for her keen style and fashion (...oh, those hats! ),unique sense of humor, kindness, and generosity. Rosemarie was loved and admired by many, especially her friends, caregivers, neices, nephews, and her two sisters Donna and June. We will miss her greatly ! She is survived by two sisters: Donna A. Platt of Houston, TX, June G. Cusimano of Ambler, PA. and Several Nieces And Nephews. The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Tuesday, April 5 at Lownes Family Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. with Father Anthony Hangholt officiating.
