Timothy J. Mahoney Jr., age 95, of Villanova, PA. formerly of Ft .Pierce Fla. and Skidaway Island, Ga. died Friday, March 18, 2016 . He was born November 22, 1920 in Washington DC. He is the son of the late Timothy and the late Arvilla (Renz) Mahoney Sr.. He was the husband of the late Joan H. (Strekofsky.) Mahoney who had died in March 2010. Mr. Mahoney was a graduate of Cathedral Preparatory School,Class of 1937 and Georgetown University, Class of 1941 along with Harvard Law School, Class of 1944. Mr. Mahoney spent nearly half a century specializing in Maritime Law as a Senior Partner with the law firm of Krusen , Evans and Shaw which later became Krusen , Evans and Byrne . He also was a former member and board member of the Philadelphia Country Club , The Union League of Philadelphia and a member of the Merion Cricket Club. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He is survived by two daughters: Danna Nehrbas (Andy) of Villanova, PA., Megan L. Mahoney and two sons: Timothy J. Mahoney III (Anne), Kevin H. Mahoney (Laura); Brother of Janet (Mikki) Mahoney. Also survived by 9 Great Grandchildren and a niece Leslie S. Troutman. A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Monday, March 21 at Saint John Vianney Church, 350 Conshohocken State Rd., Gladwyne, PA .. Burial will be private. .
