George J. Atkins Sr., age 70, of Lafayette Hill, formerly of Berwyn and Downingtown,Pa. died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Keystone House of Wyndmoor, PA.. George was born March 18, 1945 in Phila., PA. He is the son of the late Donald and the late Marie (McCaffrey) Atkins. He is the beloved husband of Eileen (Hedrick) Atkins . . He was employed for over 26 years with Johnson And Matthey as a Materials Control Manage and following that he worked for Vangaurd . George was a graduate of Villanova University and he served in the Navy during the the Vietnam war. He is survived by his wife: Eileen (Hedrick) Atkins , one daughter: Chrissy Atkins and two sons: George Atkins Jr. (Maggie), Stephen Atkins (Isabella); Brother of : Maria DiDonna , Donald Atkins, Jim Atkins, Robert Atkins also survived by 2 grandchildren-Clare And Nick,. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Friday, February 26 at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill . Burial will be in Washington Crossing National Veteran Cemetery, Newtown ,Pa. Calling hours will be Friday, February 26 from 9:30-11AM at Saint Philip Neri Church. Memorial doantions may be made to the Keystone Hospice-8765 Stenton Ave. Wyndmoor,Pa.19038
