Raymond M. Ferki, age 83, of Plymouth Meeting, formerly of Roxborough, died Sunday, December 27, 2015 at VNA Hospice in Philadelphia. Raymond was born June 5, 1932 in Wilkes Barre, PA. He is the son of the late Andrew and the late Mary (Clair) Ferki. He was the beloved husband of Wanda A. (Courtright) Ferki for over 62 years. He was a retired Lead T6 Window Clerk for the US Postal Service at the Bala Cynwyd Post Office. Mr. Ferki was a graduate of Coughlin High School and he also attended St. Joseph's University. He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army in Germany. Before moving to Plymouth Meeting, Ray and his family lived in Roxborough and he was a former member of Holy Family Catholic Church. At Holy Family he volunteered with their debt collection and was a member of the Holy Name Society. Currently, he is a member of Saint Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill, PA. Ray was an avid Phillies, Eagles and Notre Dame Football fan, and loved to watch the annual Army/Navy Game. He also enjoyed gardening, reading and watching Western movies. Ray will be sorely missed by his devoted family and many friends. He is survived by his wife: Wanda A.(Courtright) Ferki , two daughters: Mary Colletti (Vito) of Plymouth Meeting, PA., Ann Marie Ferki of Plymouth Meeting, PA, and one son: Raymond A. Ferki (Christina) of Richboro, PA.; Brother of Joseph Ferki of Franklin, VA and 4 Grandchildren-Katerina, Anthony, Raymond Jr. and Olivia. He was predeceased by his son Michael J. Ferki (Gina). A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 2 at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444. Officiating will be the Reverend Monsignor Charles P. Vance. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Gulph Road & Matsonford Road, West Conshohocken, PA 19428. Calling hours will be Saturday, January 2 from 9:30-11:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Philip Neri Church.
