Obituary of Vernal "Guy" Vaden

Vernal Robert Vaden, affectionately known as Guy, was born
on March 15,
1966 in Philadelphia, PA. He fell asleep in death on Sunday,
October
18, 2015. He was 49 years old and is survived by his mother and
stepfather, Betty and James Earl Wright; his father, Vern Vaden; his
sisters
and brothers-in-law, Andrea and Ron Harris and Monica and Philip
DiCicco; a
nephew, Ethan Harris; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and
close
friends.
Guy graduated from Saul High School and received a Bachelor of
Sciences
degree from Peirce College. Guy will be remembered as an energetic,
athletic, hard-working, pleasant man with a wonderful sense of humor and
a
love of animals. His career of 29 years at Glaxo Smith Kline
Pharmaceutical
Company progressed from the care of laboratory animals to
scientifc research
and management. He enjoyed playing on the softball
league and participating
in other sporting events with his colleagues.
Guy was truly loved and will be
deeply missed by his family and
friends. A memorial service will be held at
Lownes Family Funeral Home
on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at 3 pm. Visitation
will be from 2 to 3 pm.
