Obituary of Eleanor S. Arena

Eleanor S.(Sclafani) Arena, age 97, formerly of Norristown and Plymouth Mtg. died Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Meadowood Retirement Community of Worcester. She was born October 25, 1917 in Norristown, PA. She is the daughter of the late Giuseppe and the late Maria (Pucci) Sclafani. She was the wife of the late Biagio Arena who passed in 2002. Mrs. Arena was a graduate of Norristown High School. She was a very faithful member of Epiphany of our Lord Church along with the America Italy Society, The Questers and Plymouth Country Club where she was an avid golfer. She was also a member of the Metropolitan Opera Guild. For many years she enjoyed her summers in Stone Harbor. She will be sorely missed by her loving family and friends. She is survived by one daughter: Catherine "Tina" Arena Iffland of Westport, Conn. 5 Grandchildren- Blaise Arena ,Barbara Arena Crandall , Amy Iffland Kerr , Peter and Laurie Iffland. Also survived by several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Vincent "Skip" Arena. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, July 23 at Epiphany Of Our Lord Church, 3050 Walton Rd., Plymouth Meeting, PA. .. Burial will be in Saint Patrick Cemetery, East Norriton . Calling hours will be Thursday, July 23 from 10-10:45am at Epiphany Of Our Lord Church. .
