Obituary of Albert E. Busfield Jr.

Albert E. Busfield Jr., age 84 of Oreland , formerly of Effort Pa. and Lafayette Hill. died Wednesday (11/24) at St. Josephs Manor in Meadowbrook. He was a Retired Steam Fitter For Local Union #420 Mr. Busfield Jr. was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late Albert and the late Marie Friel Busfield Sr.. Mr. Busfield was a graduate of Northeast Catholic H.S. he then enterd the US Navy to serve our country during WW2 and served on the USS Duncan. He was an active member of the Arthur V. Savage VFW post in Wyndmoor. He also a former little league baseball coach for Whitemarsh Twp. and the Oreland/ Wyndmoor League and for many years he volunteered at the Little League World Series in Williamsport Pa. He also was an avid golfer playing for many years in Myrtle Beach S.C. along with many of our area courses. He is survived by his wife Dorothy (Borgard ) Busfield three daughters: KATE McClelland of Flourtown, PA., Donna Ceneviva of Frederick, MD, Dotsy Carney of Ambler, PA. one son: Albert E. Busfield III of Phila., PA 12 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grand., Friends may call Sunday 11/28 from 6-8pm at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA..and Monday 9:30-11am at the church. Funeral mass will be held Monday 11/29 at 11:00 am Burial will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham. Contributions may be made to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1616 Huntington Pike, Meadowbrook,Pa. 19046. Funeral arrangements are by The Lownes of Lafayette Hill.
