Obituary of Philip E. Zimmerman

Philip E. Zimmerman, age 90 of Plymouth Meeting PA., died Saturday (11/6 ) at his home. He Retired from The Physical Plant division of the former Beaver College which is now Arcadia Univ.. Mr. Zimmerman was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late Philip and the late Margaret McNeill Zimmerman. Mr. Zimmerman was a member of Saint Jude and the Nativity Church in Lafayette Hill. He was a graduate of Northeast H.S. and the Phila.Musem of Art. He was a WW2 Navy Vet. and served aboard the USS Raven, a mine sweeper along with the USS Price. He recieved numerous medals such as Navy Marine Corps,American Campaign,Navy Good Conduct ,Asiatic Pacific Campaign, The Victory WW2, The Europen African Medal,Middle Estern,Heroism with 1 Battle Star. His interests included body building and weight lifting and was Mr. Phila. in 1953. His hobbies also included music and ART and all types of wood working.
