Marshall F. Sciarra, age 88 of the Swampoodle section of Phila. , died Friday (1/2/15) in the Exton Senior Living Facility in Exton,Pa. He was a retired Salesman For Cento Food Products Mr. Sciarra was born in Pittsfield, MASS, the son of the late Domenic and the late Concetta Sciarra. Mr.Sciarra grew up in the Swampoodle section of Phila. and was a long time member of the Swampoodle Mens Breakfast Club. He also was a former Minor League Baseball player and had played for the Milwaukee "A's". Marshall also was a World War II Army Veteran. He enjoyed horse racing and was an avid NY Yankee's fan. For many years Mr. Sciarra would vacation with his family in Ocean City, NJ. He will be sorely missed by his loving family and many friends. He is survived by two daughters: Judith E. Mancuso (late Robert) of Andorra,phila., PA, Mariann B. O'Brien of Exton, PA 3 Grandchildren-Christopher, Christine, Elizabeth "Biz", great grandfather to Johnny. Friends may call Wednesday 1/7/2015 from 9:30-10:30am at Saint Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, 3000 Cottman Ave., Phila., PA. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am Burial will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham. Mmemorial donations may be made to the Heartland Hospice, 5 Christy Dr. Chadds Ford,Pa. 19317
