Obituary of Sheldon C. Pickel

Sheldon C. Pickel, age 96 of The Masonic Village, Lafayette Hill , died Monday (7/28) . He was a retired Facilities Director for Standard Press Steel Co. Mr. Pickel was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late Clarence and the late Sarah Eckert Pickel. He was the husband of the late Wanda (Falicki) Pickel who died in 2007. Mr. Pickel served our Country during World War 2 in the US Navy and was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Bonhomme Richard CVS 31. He was a member of the Roxborough Presbyterian Church and a former Trustee at the Fourth Reformed Church in Roxborough. He was also a member of the Masonic Palestine Lodge #135 along with The Scottish Rite and was also a Shriner. He is survived by two daughters: Marie Krum of Waldwick, NJ, Jean Heiser of Oreland, PA 4 Grandaughters And 3 Great Grandaughters And 1 Great grandson, Friends may call Friday 8/1/14 from 2:30-3pm at Masonic Village Auditorium, 801 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 pm in the Masonic Village Burial will be private at in the Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Horsham. Contributions may be made to Masonic Village of Lafayette Hill,801 Ridge Pike,Lafayette Hill,Pa.19444. Funeral arrangements are by The Lownes Family Funeral Home of Lafayette Hill.
