Obituary of Dorothy R. Tippett

Dorothy( Rumsey) Tippett, age 91 of Spring House Estates,Ambler PA, died Sunday (4/27) She was a Home Maker Mrs. Tippett was born in Phila., PA, the daughter of the late Roy and the late Ada Adams Rumsey. Mrs.Tippett was a 1940 graduate of Roxborough High School. In her youth she was active in Tennis and Dancing. Mrs. Tippett was a former deacon for the Roxborough Presbyterian Church and her current church at The Oreland Evangelical Presbyterian Church and was also a church musician playing the piano and organ. For many years she enjoyed vacationing with her family in Ocean City ,NJ. She is survived by her husband Stanley H. Tippett one daughter: Wendy Slawinski (Wayne) of Homer Glen, IL one son: Stephen Tippett (Nancy) of Blue Bell, PA 3 Grandchildren-Nicole Tippett- Liberty, Mimi Stever and Leslie Tippett 1 great granddaughter-Leah Stever She was predeceased by her son in 2004-Mark W. Tippett (Pam) Friends may call Friday May 2,2014 from 10-11am at Oreland Evangelical Presbyterian Church,1119 Church Rd. Oreland, PA.19075 Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Burial will be held privately in the George Washington Memorial Park, . Memorial donations may be made to the above church.
