Obituary of Thomas H. Gourlay Sr.

Thomas H. Gourlay Sr., age 81 of Phila. PA, died Tuesday (2/25) at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a retired Electrical MaintenanceTechnician, employed by SPS Technology Mr. Gourlay Sr. was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late Thomas B. and the late Dorothy Jones Gourlay. Mr.Gourlay was a 1950 Graduate of Roxborough High School where he played for the Soccer and Golf Teams. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean War. For many years he participated in the Cape May 200 Bicycle Rally. He enjoyed fishing at Wildwood Crest with his family and enjoyed showing his children and grandchildren how to fix things. He was known as a Mr. Fix it and a Jack of all trades and will be sorely missed by his loving family and many friends. He is survived by his wife- Carole (Schuloff) Gourlay one daughter: Helen Wade (Jim) of Lafayette Hill, PA two sons: Thomas H. Gourlay Jr. (Joanne) of Willow Grove, PA, Kevin S. Gourlay (Cindy) of Germany one sister: Patricia Schofield of Pottstown, PA 7 Grandchildren-Heather ,Andrew ,Anna, Anita, James , Amy, David Friends may call Saturday 3/1/2014 from 9:30-11AM at Roxborough Presbyterian Church, Ridge Ave. And Port Royal Ave., Philadelphia, PA.. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am Burial will be held privately in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown. Contributions may be made to The Timothy Academy, 303 W.
