Obituary of Catherine M. Rocks

Catherine M.(Gilchrist) Rocks, age 86 of Lafayette Hill formerly of Roxborough, died Saturday (2/22) in Chestnut Hill Hospital. She was a Home Maker Mrs. Rocks was born in Phila., PA, the daughter of the late Walter and the late Estelle Timmons Gilchrist . Beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Rocks Mrs. Rocks was a graduate of Germantown High School. She was a former member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church while residing in Roxborough then , upon moving to Lafayette Hill to live with her daughter Diane, she became a member of Saint Philip Neri Church. Mrs. Rocks was a member of the churches Phillipians Social Group also. Mrs. Rocks was truly devoted to her family and will be sorely missed by all that had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by two daughters: Kathleen A. Lyon (John) of Pasadena, MD, Diane M. Lanahan (Dan) of Lafayette Hill, PA two sons: Hon. M. Joseph Rocks (Elizabeth) of Lafayette Hill, PA, Thomas J. Rocks (Lori) of Lafayette Hill, PA 9 Grand,3 Great Grandchildren, Friends may call Thursday 2/27/2014 from 6-8pm at Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. and Friday from 9:30-11AM at Church . Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Burial will be in the Westminster Cemetery, Balacynwyd. Contributions may be made to The NHS Foundation, 620 Germantown Pike,Lafayette Hill,Pa. 19444. Funeral arrangements are by the Lownes Family Funeral Home of Lafayette Hill.
