Bruce W. Raffensperger,MD, age 91 of Spring House Estates formerly of Ft.Washington died suddenly Sunday (12/15) . He was a retired OB/GYN Medical Doctor . Dr. Raffensperger was born in Arendtsville, PA, the son of the late William and the late Helen Eicholtz Raffensperger. Dr. Raffensperger was a graduate of Gettysburg College and received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. He went on to practice OB/GYN at Chestnut Hill Hospital for over 40 years. He also was a veteran of WW 2 serving as a Captain in the US Army. He loved to vacation with his family at their home in Great East Lake,Acton,Maine for over 46 years. Dr. Raffensperger was an avid fisherman and life long Phillies fan along with being a music afficionado attending well over 50 operas in NYC and Philadelphia. Dr. and Dr. Raffensperger also had several wonderful and memorable trips to Europe together. He is survived by his wife Dr.Charlotte (Flanders ) Raffensperger four daughters: Nancy Raffensperger Aikins , Kim Eihorn (Skip), Tina Raffensperger and Linda Raffensperger two sons: Curt Raffensperger (Nancy) and Neil Raffensperger Numerous Grandchildren,several Great Grand Children Friends may call Thursday 12/19/2013 from 9:30-10am at Trinity Episcopal Church, 708 S.
