Philip P. Rapp Jr., age 89 of Meadowood in Worcester PA,formerly of E.Norriton died Sunday (11/24/13 ) in the Einstein Montgomery Hospital. He was a Retired School Teacher at Norristown High School ,retiring in 1986. Mr. Rapp Jr. was born in Phila., PA, the son of the late Philip P. and the late Emma Seidel Rapp Sr. Mr. Rapp was a resident of East Norriton since 1969. He was a graduate of LaSalle College where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree and then went on to receive his Masters Degree in Teaching from Temple Univ. Mr. Rapp was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during WW 2 as a Sergeant from 1943-1946. Both Mr. and Mrs. Rapp were long time members and sang in the choir at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed traveling with his wife,reading and attending the Phila. Orchestra concerts at the Kimmel Center. He is survived by his wife Sally (Faggart ) Rapp one son: Philip P. Rapp III (Tonya) of Jamison one brother: Frank Rapp of NJ 1 Grandson-Peter Ellis Rapp, He was predeceased by his sisters Ruth and Jeanette. Friends may call Saturday 11/30/2013 from 11-12:30 at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 pm in the George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Assn. Phila.
