Obituary of Carol P. Barkley

Carol P.(Ozias) Barkley, age 81 of The Masonic Village Lafayette Hill Pa. formerly of Roxborough , died Friday (8/23) at the Masonic Village. She was a Home Maker most of her life but had formerly worked as a receptionist and bookkeeper. Mrs. Barkley was born in Phila., PA, the daughter of the late Carlton and the late Elsie Hansel Ozias. Mrs. Barkley was born and raised in Roxborough and was a 1949 graduate of Roxborough High School and for many years she was chairperson for the class Alumni Reunion Commitee. Mrs. Barkley is currently a member of Pilgrim Church in Roxborough . She was a former member of The First Presbyterian Church in Manayunk along with Grace Chapel Presbyterian where at both churches she was involved with their choirs , Sunday School programs and the Christian Endeavor Youth Groups. She enjoyed gardening and singing and was known as an excellent cook. She is survived by her husband of 62 years- John L. Barkley Jr. two daughters: Judith L. Tam (Peter) of Ventura, CA, Joy L. Dunlap (Dwight) of Harrisburg, PA two sons: Paul L. Barkley (Sue) of Roxborough, Phila., PA, Matthew J. Barkley (Nancy) of Oswego, ILLIN 12 Grandchildren , Friends may call Wednesday 8/28/2013 from 10-11am at Pilgrim Church, 3815 Terrace St., Phila., PA.19128 Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Burial will be in the Westminster Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd.
