Dorothy (Yocum) Willig, age 98 of Lafayette Hill formerly of Jenkintown and Willow Grove died Saturday (8/17) at the Masonic Village of Lafayette Hill. She was a retired Kindergarden Teacher for Abington School District after 45 yrs. Mrs. Willig was born in Phila., PA, the daughter of the late Howard and the late Agnes Tennyson Yocum. She was the wife of the late Kenneth J. Willig who passed in 2007. Mrs. Willig was raised in Phila. and was a graduate of Olney High School along with Beaver College where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree and then onto Temple Univ. where she received her Masters Degree. She was a former member of the Abington Presbyterian Church where she had also taught Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Willig was also a Daughter of the American Revolution and was a former member of the Skytop Club in the Poconos. She was known to many as a devoted grandmother and great grandmother and will be sadly missed by her loving family and many friends. She is survived by one daughter: Bonnie Draper (Tom) of Quakertown, PA grandson, TK (Tara); Grandson, Chuck (Peach); 5 Great Grandchildren-Hannah,Sunday,Abigail,Claire,and CK . Funeral Services will be held privately Contributions may be made to Masonic Village Employee Appreciation Fund, 801 Ridge Pike,Lafayette Hill,Pa. 19444.
