Eleanor I. (Pontefract) Fatkin, age 95 of Plymouth Meeting formerly of Roxborough died Sunday (8/4) at her home in Plymouth Meeting. She was a retired Mortgage Officer For The Former ConFed Bank and upon retiring from the banking industry she had worked part time for the Colonial School District. Mrs. Fatkin was born in Phila., PA, the daughter of the late Mark and the late Eleanor Forrest Pontefract. Wife of the late Edward L. Fatkin Sr. Mrs. Fatkin was raised in Roxborough and was a graduate of Roxborough High School Class of 1935. Following her marriage to her late husband Edward they moved to Plymouth Meeting to raise a son and daughter. For many years she was a member of Saint Peter's Lutheran Church in Lafayette Hill and was also a member of their Community Elders Group. Eleanor was also a member of SAWS which stands for Savings Association Womens Society. She enjoyed knitting and card playing with her friends too. She is survived by one daughter: Eileen E. Strouse (Rich) of Plymouth Meeting, PA. one son: Edward L. Fatkin Jr. of Seattle, Washington one sister: Dolores Pleis of Glen Mills, PA 2 Grandchildren-Toni And Gary and 3 Great Grandchildren . Friends may call Thursday August 8,2013 from 10-:15-11:15am at Lownes Family Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. Funeral Services will be held at 11:15 am Burial will be in the George Washington Memorial Park, . Contributions may be made to Saint Peters Lutheran Church Bell Tower Fund-3025 Church Rd. Lafayette Hill,Pa. 19444.
