In Loving Memory of Colleen Patricia White Cooney
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Colleen Patricia White Cooney of Conshohocken, PA. On January 8, 2025, she peacefully returned to the Lord after a brave and inspiring battle with cancer. Colleen was surrounded by the love of her family and friends in her final days and moments.
Born on November 25, 1957, in East Orange, NJ, Colleen was the beloved daughter of the late Brendan P. White and Nita W. White (née Waugh). She is predeceased by her brother Brendan N. White and lovingly remembered by her sister Kathy Taylor.
Colleen is survived by her beloved husband, Michael O. Cooney and her son, Michael P. Cooney (Allison); the entire Cooney Family, her sister, Kathleen W. Taylor (Patrick), her nieces, Erin L. Roberts (Michael) and Maureen A. Connolly (Peter); her nephews, Stephen P. Taylor (Jennifer) and Brendan A. Taylor; six treasured grandnieces; her lifelong friends, Maureen J. Cumpstone, Mary Beth D. Nixon, and Laurie Matt; and a large, close-knit group of caring, loving, and supportive friends.
Colleen was renowned for her vibrant sense of humor, outgoing nature, and unmistakably bold voice. And, as Colleen would always say, “Go Blue.” She had a passion for traveling, cherished time spent with her family and friends, and adored her beloved cats. To all who knew and loved her, Colleen will forever be remembered as the life of the party.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church, 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Interment will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Philadelphia, NJ.
