Obituary of James P. Violante
James Patrick (Jim) Violante
May 3, 1961 - December 4, 2024
James Patrick (Jim) Violante, 63, of Ambler, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by the ones he loved on December 4, 2024. He was a devoted husband to Amy Violante (neé Studenmund) and a loving father to Lucas and Jack Violante.
Jim was the most hard-working and dedicated man. He spent more than a decade working with the George Woodward Company, revitalizing antique properties back to their intricate and charming character throughout Chestnut Hill. Known for always fiddling, fixing, and creating with his hands, he was a talented carpenter who made his mark across the area. Projects that seemed impossible to others were a welcomed challenge to Jim.
Although he constantly was working hard on a project at work and at home, he was quick to drop the project he was curating to be with his family. Jim shared a deep bond with his boys, enjoying countless hours together as they participated in Boy Scouts, sports, exploring the outdoors and making lifelong memories. His love of nature was evident in his passion for hiking, bird watching, fishing, and gardening. Whether it was grilling dinner in the backyard or spotting birds in the wild, Jim found peace and joy in the simplicity of life’s natural wonders.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Amy (neé Studenmund); his sons, Lucas and Jack; his sister, Melinda Szczepanski (neé Violante) and her husband, Keith; his niece, Sarah Hudak (née Szczepanski) and her husband, Andrew; his niece, Corynne Recco (née Szczepanski) and her husband, Dominic; Amy’s parents, Harry and Sylvia Studenmund; his sister-in-law, Beth De Soo (née Studenmund) and her husband Thomas; his nephews, Cole and Jesse; his brother-in-law, Stephen Studenmund, and his wife, Angelique; and his nephew, Dalton. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Andre and Joan Violante.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Jim’s name to one of the following organizations that were meaningful to him:
