Patricia Ann (Pat) Buchanan, age 82 of Blue Bell, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 25, 2024 at Abington Hospital after suffering from various health issues over the past few years.

Pat was born in Philadelphia to Charles and Genevieve Kalesse on February 8, 1942. Pat lived in Philadelphia most of her life. She attended Saint Anne’s Catholic School and graduated from J.W. Hallahan Girls High School in 1960. Pat eventually moved to the Fox Chase area of the city where she raised her children. In her retirement, she moved to the Jenkintown, PA and finally to Blue Bell.

Pat is survived by her 5 children: Greg Simpson (Pam), Kathi Taylor (Dave) Linda Crawford (Chris), Jennifer Simpson-Hurst (Jim), Anne Shrawder (Andy), her brother Bob Kalesse (Terrie). her 13 grandchildren; Shannon Finn, Brooke Capaldi, Zach and Colin Taylor, Evan, Carter and Christian Crawford, Matthew, Daniel and Samantha Hurst, Mollie, Addison and Gavin Shrawder and many nieces and nephews. Pat is preceded in death by her loving husband Norman Buchanan, her parents Charles and Genevieve Kalesse, her sisters Jean Phillips and Peg Grindle, niece Susan Grindle and nephew Robert Kalesse.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday September 3, 2024 at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA from 9:30-11am followed by Requiem Mass.
