Obituary of Albert B. Sinopoli
Albert Sinopoli of Kulpmont, PA died at his home in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
He is survived by his wife Natalie of 60.5 years, his 7children: Angela Lisowski, Maria (Mitch)Mills, Al(Janet)Sinopoli, Joanne(Mike)Brauckmann, NatalieCotteta, Michael(Nikki)Sinopoli, and Peter(Nicole)Sinopoli,17 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He was the son of Bruno and Elizabeth Sinopoli. He not only joins his parents, but also his brothers Joseph and Eugene Sinopoli, and his grandson Jacob in death. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews including David, Bobby, Gina, Matt, and EugeneSinopoli, their spouses, and children, his loving sister-in-law Ann Lodge, husband Joe and children Tory and Jarrett.
Albert was an educated and devoted father, grandfather,and husband. He received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Ursinus College and his graduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Computer Science. He contributed to the programing and development of sophisticated software, driving change at companies including IBM, Boeing, General Electric, Sperry Univac, SAP, and the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. He also instructed students while employed as a part-time professor at Swarthmore College and Penn State University.
Albert’s unwavering love for his wife was the foundation of the successful lives of his children and their families. Heliked to laugh and joke with his children and grandchildren while stressing the importance of family values and living with a moral compass. He helped to teach his children the values of teamwork by coaching their baseball, softball, and basketball teams. He attended Epiphany of Our Lord parish faithfully every week.
Albert enjoyed tradition and embraced his Italian heritage enjoying treats like soupie, tadalli, braciole, wedding soup, and pizzelles. He enjoyed sporting events and was an avid fan of both the Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies. Albert enjoyed playing billiards and liked games of strategy. He even combined his programming abilities with his love of family and sports to develop software, engineering an extensive family football pool. Other traditions he created included an annual easter egg hunt, Christmas Eve fish dinner, yearly family photo calendar, and poker nights. Albert will be missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at Epiphany of Our Lord Parish, Plymouth Meeting, PA on Friday May 10th at 11:00am.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.
Visitation will be held in the church on Friday morning from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.
