Obituary of Teresa R. Ingersoll
Teresa R. Ingersoll, 98, passed away on February 24th, 2024 at Spring House Estates. Born on October 17, 1925 in Easton, PA, Teresa was the daughter of Ciro and Jennie Boscia. She grew up in Easton, PA, and was a longtime resident of Germantown and Lafayette Hill before moving to Normandy Farms Estates.
Teresa was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Charles Jared Ingersoll, brother Salvatore Boscia, and son-in-law John Curtin. She is survived by her four children: Charles J. Ingersoll (Millicent), Robert J. Ingersoll (Whitney), Anne Curtin, and John Ingersoll (Wendy).
Known affectionately as “Mimi,” Teresa will be deeply missed by her 11 grandchildren: Jared (Leigh Ann), Erik (Laura), Ryan, Lauren (Brian), Rivers, Courtney, Allie, Meghan, Dawson, Phoebe, and Kelsey, as well as her 7 great-grandchildren: Charlie, Erin, Izzie, Dylan, Finley, Avery, and Summer.
Teresa loved spending time with her family and friends, and she cherished her summers spent in Surf City, NJ. Family dinners of Mimi’s mouth-watering spaghetti and meatballs were often followed by an enthusiastic card game called Fantan where Mimi was surrounded by her adoring grandchildren. She loved her extended Ingersoll, Boscia, and Sparta family and she cherished her many nieces and nephews. Teresa was an avid reader, card player, and crossword puzzle aficionado, and she was a beloved member of the Normandy Farms Community. Her love, humor, and positive outlook will be remembered by all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Thursday February 29th at St. Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill. A viewing will be held at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor her memory by spreading joy and kindness.
