Joyce S. Given, 85, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2023 at the Meadowood Senior Living Community in Worcester, Pennsylvania.

Preceded in death by father Cornelius, mother Gladys, and sister Adele, she was born in Llanerch, Pennsylvania and raised in Starke, Florida, where her parents owned a motel. She attended University of Florida and worked as a legal secretary in Philadelphia where she met and married the love of her life Dr. Kenneth M. Given who passed away in October of 2020 after 56 years of marriage.

She is survived by her identical twin sister Joan Scholl Austin, and by four children, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; son Kurt and wife Marie and grandsons Calvin and Cooper; daughter Catherine Given and grandchildren Kenneth, Connor, and Carly Grozier; son Craig and wife Jennifer and grandchildren Christopher, Kathleen (great-grandson Callum) Courtney, Kelsey (great-grandson Solís); and son Kyle and wife Joan Marie and grandson Alex.

A memorial service is planned for 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2023 at Lownes Funeral Home, Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. A private burial will follow at Seaside Cemetery in Marmora, New Jersey, near her beloved home in Ocean City, New Jersey.
